(I don't really liked what has happened in the last 3 seasons, so I decided to pretend they never occured.) Archive: Ask me first so I know where it's going... Disclaimer:They all belong to Chris Carter and his amazing imagination...not to me. Easier There were days that were easier for Scully than others. She glanced up at her partner. Her undeniably handsome partner. She couldn't help but glare at him a little bit. Why was she stuck with a man who never saw her as a woman, but as an equal? Scully let her eyes go back to her keyboard. Of course he treated her as an equal, that's what she wanted. That's how he thought of her, that's what made him so damn sexy. There were times when Scully just wanted to walk up to him and hug him. That's it just hug. Well, certainly she has dreamed of doing more than just hugging him, but a real hug. A hug that makes all hugs pa;e in comparison. The feel of his strong and warm arms around her would be amazing. A hug in which she could feel his love for her radiate to her. She knew that he loved her. And she knew that he knew she loved him. But he didn't love her in any romantic till death do us part way. His way was purely platonic. He could get any woman he wanted. A woman just has to look at him and they would start salivating and following him around. Lord knows that's what she's done for the past six years. Scully remembered the day that she first met him. The first time she laid eyes on him, her breath was taken away. He looked so determined, so intelligent, quirky…sexy. So Mulder. She felt so awkward. She wasn't used to wearing business suits yet, and now they were like a second skin to her. She had to concentrate so hard to keep her self from showing him how she was attracted to him, how he affected her. He just looked at her that day as if she were a mere mosquito. Then, on their first case together when he touched her to examine those mosquito bites? Once the initial fear was gone, and she realized she was standing there in front of the most attractive man she has ever met in her underwear, she could just imagine how flushed she got. Not only was she embarrassed over the fact that she was worried about mosquito bites, but the fact that she was standing more naked in front of a man than she had been in a long, long time. That was six years ago. Scully glanced over at her partner once again. He was busily typing something. He was concentrating damn hard too. His glasses were on, his stare penetrating the screen. Suddenly he started to smile. It started out small, just the corners creeping. Scully felt herself flush, thinking that she was caught staring at him. Then he started chuckling, until his small grin turned into a huge bona-fide smile. "What's so funny Mulder?" Scully asked making sure her voice had an edge of annoyance to it. "Oh just some person I'm talking to on the computer." Scully felt a pang of envy for whoever cause Mulder to smile like that. She barely ever got him to smile like that, it was one of her many goals. He glanced over at Scully, who in turn raised an eyebrow. He leaned in towards her raising his eyebrows, and his hazel eyes twinkling with mischief. He even had the adorable lop sided grin on his face. "An amazingly intelligent, and attractive person Scully." He let his voice drop down a notch, causing it to sound husky. Scully felt her self swallow. Her mouth became dry. Jealousy was starting to make pinpricks in her stomach, causing her breath to become more shallow and difficult. She managed to give him one of her bored, just come out with it looks. "Frohike." He stated. It took Scully a slight moment before a small-amused smile started to form on her face beyond her control. Mulder was aiming for a bigger reaction; laughter was his main goal. Well. He finally got a chuckle. She was sitting demurely at her desk. Her was face void of any emotion. Frohike was teasing him about Scully. Again. Asking what she was wearing, if he ever thought about how she tasted…if it wasn't Frohike and his gnome-like ways he would have punched him long ago. Frohike didn't mean anything by them. He and the rest of the lone gunmen were his only friends, besides Scully. They knew nearly everything about him. Even his feelings for his partner. Mulder was defiantly closest to Frohike out of all the lone gunmen. He and Frohike both noticed Scully for what she was, an amazingly attractive woman with superior intellect. Their special link started then. Well after their first 1989 meeting. Frohike once even called Mulder in the wee hours of the morning for comfort after a nightmare. It had something to do with the government finding their computers and crashing everything. Mulder then supposed that he was one of Frohike's best friends…although he and Langley defiantly had a connection with their twisted sense of humor that Mulder and Frohike could never have. Mulder sighed. Who was he kidding; he was no one's best friend. But Scully was his best friend. There was no doubt about that. She had some of the best facial expressions. She could look so great being annoyed, pissed off…shocked. Her shocked face was priceless. She would fight the looks with all her might, trying to look bored. It barely ever worked. Especially the one time he had a huge cardboard figure of her sitting at her desk for an April fool's joke. It was a lame joke, but it made her laugh—as he knew it would do. He also knew she hated being the butt of jokes, and also hated being made a fool out of. But her facial expression right before she started laughing…and it was a nice laugh. One that made her seem much younger, much more innocent. He chuckled to himself. What a lame ass joke. "Now what did he say Mulder?" Scully asked with out looking up from her computer. "Oh nothing, I was just reminiscing." Scully raised an amused eyebrow. "What about?" She stopped her typing and looked over at him. Any excuse to look at her partner with nothing else to distract her. "Just April Fool's day last year." Scully smirked with a roll of her eyes. It was the dumbest joke in history, yet she loved it. It was so…stupid. Yet, at the same time it was endearing. "Still proud of that one?" She asked getting back to her work. Mulder's grunt was her only reply. * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * The Next Day: Scully felt old in her suit. She glanced at the fabric. Dark. She was always wearing dark colors. Colors like Navy and Black. Black was great for evening dresses, sexy, elegant chic…but for suits? Blah. Same with navy. Very boring. Earlier in her career she tried making her wardrobe more colorful for work. She knew it ended up making her look unprofessional, not to mention foolish. She opted for darker colors when she realized it looked better in general. Damn Mulder and his Armani suits. They look amazing on him. They emphasize everything good about him. His suits make him look masculine, manly…wonderful. Her suits made her feel dumpy and sexless. A knock came from the door. Mulder told whomever it was to come in. "I have a delivery for this young woman right here." Said an overtly cheerful young blonde man. In his arms was a beautiful bouquet of flowers. Pink, Red and cream colored roses. Mulder's heart began to pound. Who would give her flowers? Why? Well, he knew why…but how come? He glanced over at Scully and saw the unhidden surprise in her eyes, and the breath catch in her throat. She glanced at him in question; he raised his eyebrows with a shake of the head. He wished he were the one to have given her the roses. She got up to receive the gift. Mulder's breath became shallow when he saw her smell the roses. The red ones complimented her lips. He saw a petal graze her lower lip. He let his gaze fall to his dirty keyboard. "If you'll just sign here Mrs. Thompson." He handed Scully the pen. Mulder glanced up sharply; he saw the look of disappointment wash over Scully's face. Then she straitened her shoulders and gave the deliveryman one of her rare smiles. "I'm sorry, you have the wrong person." She said sweetly. She said it as if she didn't care. As though she had plenty of roses to choose from at home. In her apartment. Mulder knew better though. She was devastated, not to mention humiliated. He didn't know what to say. "Bummer Scully." Scully glanced up at Mulder sharply. She couldn't quite place the emotions she was feeling. She so wanted those roses to be from Mulder. She couldn't believe her stupidity. Her hopes were making her think that Mulder would think about her enough to do that…or care enough to spend that much money on her! Mrs. Thompson…Mrs. Mulder. Scully sat back down in her chair. Today was not one of the easier days for her. In fact, every day was getting worse and worse, it was like every since she met Mulder. Fox Mulder. * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * Friday of that week: "Gotta buy me a ticket to an aero-plane, ain't got time to take the fast train…" Mulder sang under his breath. "Lonely days are gone, I'm a-going home…" Scully looked over at her partner sitting next to her on the plane. They were heading over to Arizona for a convention of some sort. "Who wrote you a letter Mulder?" Scully asked deadpanned. She knew it was a bad joke. But it was something. Something that would make him say something her way. "You." He teased. Ah, another infamous Scully look. This one was a `you're an idiot look' that would involve her in just looking at him, yet he knew she was saying that to herself in her mind. They were landing. Scully swallowed several times so her ears wouldn't pop. It didn't work. She heard an echo of everything the whole way to their motel. Scully stayed in the car while Mulder worked out the rooms. She let her head fall back against the headrest and closed her eyes. They opened quickly when she heard the driver's door open and Mulder slide into his seat. She looked over at him. He stared through the windshield. "What is it Mulder?" "They have only one room." He took a deep breath and placed a hand on the steering wheel. "They'll bring a cot in." "You took it." Scully said. She glanced over at Mulder, who in turn glanced at her. She saw the dark circles under his eyes, the way his eyes were somewhat dull, and how even his hair looked exhausted. Even then, he looked amazing. He was silently pleading with her to not argue. She gave a small nod. "Alright Mulder. Where to?" He flashed her a small grin, and a twinkle came back to his eye. * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * Scully sat on the edge of the bed after she put her clothes away. Mulder just finished rolling the cot in and unfolding it. He sat down on it and lied down on his back, staring at the ceiling. He heard Scully turn on the TV with a click of the remote, and then the continuous click of her changing the channel. Suddenly he heard her giggle. His Scully, giggle. He smiled at his thought; he's getting mighty possessive of her. She never giggled. "What's so funny Scully?" He propped himself on his elbows and looked over at her. "Oh nothing. Just look what's on! Disney!" She said with a chuckle. He looked over at her perched on the end of the bed still in her navy pantsuit and her red hair combed perfectly. Mulder walked over and sat next to her on her bed, relishing in the warmth that was passing through the few inches between their bodies. He looked up at the screen. "It's Ariel." Scully nodded slowly. "Yes, Disney's Little Mermaid." She grinned at him, a rare grin. "It's my favorite Disney movie." She replied. Almost as though she sensed he was losing respect for her, she stood up and tossed down the remote. "Pick your show." She raised an eyebrow at him. "Remember you're in mixed company." Mulder grinned; she said that in her Scully lisp. He loved her lisp; it made everything she said more husky and sexy. "Scully, I just never thought of you as a huge Disney girl." He shrugged. "She's a mermaid, it's hot." He replied with a gleam in his eye. Scully let out her signature chuckle, which was more of a half-hearted snort. Either way, it appealed to Mulder, whose smile grew broader. "Right Mulder." She sat down next to him. It was the end of the movie. King Triton just turned Ariel to a human, and Eric was hugging her in her sparkling dress. Scully sighed. "What's wrong?" Mulder asked with a bemused look. "I love that dress." She smiled to her self. "After I saw that movie with one of the girls I was babysitting in college, I wished that the dress was around for my high school prom." Her words were nearly whispered; she was just gazing at the screen. "Wow Scully. I never would think it was in you." Scully nodded. He wouldn't. To him, she was just his partner. Someone to chase aliens and slimy things. She was only around to chase the bad guys. She then shrugged, breaking the spell. "It would probably make me look dumpy." She muttered. She was short and petite she was completely aware of that. She was reminded of that every time she looked up at her partner and whenever someone had to help her put her luggage on the overhead. She was anything but long looking. Petite girls just aren't sexy, she thought to herself. "I'm going to take a shower." She left Mulder with his mouth slightly open; the smile wasn't quite off his face. Scully thought she could look dumpy? He glanced over at her; she took off her navy blazer and hung it over a chair. She was wearing a white crew neck tee shirt. It showed off her hourglass figure. Her solid, strong, feminine hourglass figure. She had the figure that made the onlooker know for a fact, that her skin was smooth and creamy. Mulder just wanted to lick her stomach. For some reason, that part of her body really got to him. It was so strong looking, so womanly, so Scully. He figured she would taste like vanilla…salty vanilla. Mulder took Scully in the shower as an opportunity to change into his black boxers and heather gray tee shirt. He knocked softly on the bathroom door. "What is it Mulder?" He heard Scully ask from the spray of water. "Where is the case file?" "My suitcase…it should be in the front pocket." She responded. Mulder then went back to the room and found her suitcase. He fought the images of Scully in a shower from his head. He would not think of her like that. Especially when she was in the room. When he was alone…he always felt guilty afterwards. Fantasizing about her, she was too good for that. She was in a class of her own. She didn't belong in his sick mind, screaming his name in ecstasy. He rummaged through the front pocket, and looked in puzzlement as he found a rosary. What a rosary was doing in her suitcase was beyond him, but he placed it back and found the case files. He sat down on his cot, not wanting to invade her space anymore than he teasingly usually did. He placed the papers in front of him just staring at them blankly. He glanced out the window, despite the fact that he knew that he wouldn't be able to see the scenery due to the darkness of the night. It was warm in Arizona, even now in the winter. He thought back to the days when he was a teenager and he would go stargazing and look up and see endless of possibilities. He knew that stars were more visible when it was cold, so doing it in the late fall was his favorite time. It wouldn't be too cold so he couldn't stand the frigidness, but it was cold enough the stars would be twinkling down at him clearly. Allowing his imagination to fly away with him. Maybe his sister was smiling down at him from one of those stars. He shook his head and focused on the actual papers. "What was that shaking of the head for Mulder?' Scully asked. He looked up and saw Scully in a white v-neck tee shirt and striped cotton boxers. She was drying her hair with a dark green terry cloth towel. "Oh nothing." He paused and glanced up at Scully again with a smile. She raised her eyebrow at him. He loved it when she did that. "Want to go stargazing?" He asked hopefully. Scully couldn't help but give him a classic Scully look. She had no idea how much that infuriated him, and how much it turned him on. She then looked into his eyes. His eyes spoke so much more than his actual mouth did. And his mouth could spit out a lot of words. She gave him a half smile. "Sure." She then went to the bathroom to comb her hair and to put some makeup on. When she was finished with the make up her skin looked smooth and natural. She smirked at herself. She was a hopeless romantic when it came to her undeniably sexy partner. She put on her sandals and went outside with him. They sat down on a grassy slope right next to the hotel. Mulder let himself relax against the grass. Scully sat with her legs outstretched in front of her, her arms supporting her. Mulder silently chuckled at her then grabbed her and hauled her against his chest. "You'll get less of a neck cramp this way." Scully relished the feeling of Mulder's hard chest, the soft thudding of his heart and how his warmth made his hardness soft…and safe. She glanced up at the stars, then let her eyes fall shut, to let her other senses drink in the feeling of being somewhat held by Mulder. Fox Mulder. How the name Fox fit him. Foxy man. A smile lingered over Scully's mouth. She wished he would let her call him Fox. The name was ridiculous…until you saw him. Then it fit. And to be the one who can call him that with out him feeling out of place or embarrassed about it. How she wished he would call her Dana. Mulder's fingers were tracing lazy circles on her arm. Scully fought against the butterflies in her stomach, willing for them to calm down and to relax with the rest of her body. "Did you know there were cases of people reaching a climax with out any human touch?" Scully's eyes opened. "Mulder, what are you talking about?" "Sexual climaxes…orgasms…ever had one?" Scully raised an eyebrow that he could nearly feel. He was getting mighty personal. "Yes Mulder, I know what you're talking about. And yes I have. And Yes, I've heard of it." It's all hormone's, she thought to herself. "I mean to think, that just a breath can get someone to…do that." He whispered out. Why on earth was he talking about this? Scully wondered. "I'd probably just laugh." She said in a bored, matter of a fact voice. "Really Scully, why is that?" "Ticklish." She replied. Mulder grinned. So, his Scully was ticklish. "So, your future lover should stay away from feathers?" Scully shivered at Mulder saying lover. "Yes Mulder, feathered fans would not suit me if the whole point would be to turn me on." The soft strokes of Mulder's fingers took away all insult away from his next comment. "And I used to wonder why people would call you the Ice Queen." He muttered in a low voice. Scully rolled her eyes. "Well now I guess you know the reason Spooky." She responded in turn with a giddy smile. She was flirting. She could feel it, and it made her want to giggle. Suddenly she started to giggle, laugh actually when Mulder started to tickle her in punishment. Soon she was getting back at him, tickling him for all that it was worth and both of them were ignoring who they were, and how they usually acted. Mulder got her on her back and he was astride her tickling her sides. She arched her back trying to escape his fingers. Mulder's breath hitched in his throat and before he knew it he grabbed her head and let his lips finds her mouth. Scully's eyes fluttered closed. His lips were soft. She kissed his lower lip. She's wanted to do that since she first laid her blue eyes on him. She let her hands travel up his back and let her fingers run through his soft hair. They both opened their mouths, and Mulder let his tongue explore her mouth. Her own tongue touched his, and she was relishing in the feel of his warmth. Mulder couldn't believe that Scully was kissing him. She was acting as though she need him in order to survive. He couldn't believe how well she could kiss. He realized he was on top of her; he rolled over so she wouldn't be on the wet grass. Scully loved the feel of Mulder's lips upon her own. His tongue was amazing; she knew that those sunflower seeds would come to of use someday. Scully let her hips settle on Mulder's so she could get cozier. She almost opened her eyes in shock when she felt his arousal, instead she moaned. She let herself settle more firmly against him. It felt so good, so intimate. She felt like a teenager again, necking in the woods. Except this was on a grassy slope next to a motel. Mulder felt his hips buck up against her. She was so warm and inviting. Soon they were grinding against each other as though they were in high school in the back of a car that was on Lover's Lane. Suddenly Mulder stood up while still holding and kissing Scully. Her legs were wrapped around his waist, and she could still feel his hardness pressed up against her most sensitive area. The only things separating them were two layers of boxers and one pair of plain white cotton panties. Mulder finally got them back into the motel room. He gently laid himself on her bed with Scully underneath him. She was amazing. He was so in love with her, he has been for years and finally she was letting him show her this. He was kissing her…he couldn't get it out of his mind. She was letting him--lower than pond scum--kiss her. "Mulder…" She gasped out as he was kissing her neck. She let out a groan as she felt his tongue make contact with her clavicle. "What?" He pulled himself off her, afraid that she came to her senses and wanted this amazing interlude to end. "I want you." He gazed into her dark blue eyes. She meant it; she wanted him. If he weren't so desire driven, he'd jump around and whoop for joy. Instead, he kissed her with more tongue thrusting intensity that before. She was his equal—she was just as earnest. She tightened her legs around his waist and rubbed against his groin. "Now…" She whimpered. He eased her legs off of him and they both scrambled to get off their clothes. The moment Scully was naked she wrapped her arms around his neck and kissed him while pulling him gently towards the bed. "Now." She whispered. Mulder looked into her eyes and gave into her wishes. He gently slid into her, watching her intensely for any sign of pain. She was so small and tight. Wet. He smiled at the thought that he got her that wet. She wrapped her legs around him, pulling him deeper inside of her. She was meeting each thrust. She opened her eyes to meet his usually hazel eyes that were now green with passion and desire. He found her desirable…it rendered her speechless. She groaned and her eyes fluttered shut as a wave of pleasure washed over her. She was almost there. He made her feel so young…like this was her first time making love. As though she were innocent in everything, including life. As though all the monsters and horrors that she saw were non-existent. He made her feel safe. She felt the climax come towards her and with each thrust Mulder gave her, she whispered out declarations. Mulder lay for a few minutes on top of Scully, not wanted to get out of her, and not having enough strength to support himself. She just let her fingers trial over his spine and muscular back. When he somewhat recovered with the physical and mental shock of what happened between them, he braced himself on his elbows and stroked her cheek with his thumb. Scully smiled at him tiredly. He was amazing. He studied her eyes for a moment. "Did you mean it?" He finally asked. An eyebrow raised in reaction. "What are you talking about Mulder?" Scully could feel his shoulders slump slightly in surrender. "Never mind." He muttered. She furrowed her eyebrows and gently took his chin and forced him to make eye contact while stroking his lower lips with her thumb. "It's nothing." He forced a smile. "Well, there is something I want to say…" She said softly. Mulder tensed, she was going to state how it was a mistake, passion over took her she never really felt anything for him besides basic friendship. "I love you." She whispered so softly that is barely audible. Mulder grinned. No, to Scully's surprise it was a full-fledged smile. Teeth and all. "So you did mean it." He chuckled at Scully's confused expression. "You kept saying that through out…out love making." He said shyly. Scully smiled while gnawing slightly on her lower lip in nervousness. He gently nibbled on her earlobe and the let his tongue sooth the non-existent pain. "I love you." He whispered to her ear. He pulled away slightly and was shocked to see a tear drip down her cheek. He questioned it with a look. "I never thought I'd hear you say that…" She replied. She smiled, and then let a small chuckle escape. "It sounds really good." Mulder smiled. "So…" She smiled more broadly. "If I were to call you Fox, would you kill me with one of your glares?" Mulder laughed, and then grew slightly more serious. "No." He leaned down and kissed her gently on the mouth. "Not if you'll let me call you Dana." He grinned. "Perfect." She responded. Mulder rolled off of her with a groan, and they both crawled underneath the covers. Both of them were so shocked at how easy it was for them to be physically intimate. "I love you Dana." Scully smiled and felt a blush rise to her cheeks. "I love you too Fox." She closed her eyes and didn't see the blush and smile that covered his face as well. ----------------------------------------------------- Feedback would be great...pointers, likes/dislikes...(keep in mind this is my first fanfic...) flower1235@yahoo.com
