Title: One Hundred Reasons Rating: NC-17 Spoilers: Fight The Future Summary: Mulder forces Scully to comfront her thoughts on the hallway scene. _______________________________________________________ 11:59 PM "Mulder?" "Yeah?" "Why'd you drag me out here?" Scully asked him annoyed. He was driving her somewhere, probably another monster he'd gotten an e-mail about. They'd been driving for an hour, and she was exhausted. Exhausted from being bored. "So, are you gonna at least tell me why we're doing whatever the hell we're doing?" "It's snowing," he commented. "You are so damn random. Answer the question." "When we get there," he replied. "When we get WHERE?" "You'll see." She tore her gaze from his and shook her head. "Great. Fine." "Dana?" "Fox," she returned. "I heard that." She smiled a little. "What, you can call me by my first name but I can't call you by yours?" "Hey! There is a *big* difference between 'Fox' and 'Dana'." "Fine, you win. Where the hell did they come up with that name?" "I have no damned idea. What about Dana?" "My mother saw it on some soap opera. She loved the name. She watched soaps all while she was pregnant with each kid." "Bill's the oldest, right?" "Yeah, but Missy's ten months later. Bill in 1961, Missy in 62." They were silent again, he was wide awake, and the more alive he became, the spookier it all became. There was a full moon out, and just flat land. In the distance there was a lake, sparkles from the moon glittering like the inside of a machine, deep in a process. She rolled down the window and the wind blew in her face, her strands of flaming red hair blowing straight back. "Comfortable," he asked her. "I love the night air." "I see." "It's hot in here," she added. "Well, don't let me stop you from doing anything that would make you less hot. We are in the middle of no where with no one around." She looked over at him with a look that said, 'Mulder, grow up'. She had to admit though, one time she and Melissa were driving in the middle of the night across San Fransisco, they rolled down all windows, and took off their shirts and bras. She smiled. "What?" "Nothing. Flash back." "Brought back by what?" "Never mind, Mulder. Tell me where the hell you are taking me!" "Whoa whoa, don't get all nuts on me now, we're close. You can put the seat back and rest for a few minutes if you'd like." "Boy, this better be good." "Would I drag you out here if it wasn't good?" She gave him another look that told him not to push his look. "Mulder, maybe you could do something normal like a...go to a bar or a restaurant or some damned place and meet people. You don't have to drag me out here for no reason." "There's a reason." "I'm all ears." "More like all mouth," he retorted. "Oh, look at whose talking!" Scully took a fist and punched him lightly in the arm. She smiled as she did it. She then lied down and closed her eyes momentarily. She thought it was momentarily anyway. ********* 12:43 AM Mulder opened the door as quietly as he could and got out of the car, without waking her. She'd fallen asleep like a baby. He looked at the house. Small, but away from everything. He walked over and opened Scully's door. She didn't move. He curled his right arm underneath her legs, and carefully twisted his arm behind her back, thankful she was just over five feet, and he lifted her up. She adjusted herself into this position, and he kicked the door shut. She must be really tired. He carried her into the house, and before he reached the couch, she jerked her head up, and gasped. "Mulder." "You didn't drool on me." "Where are we? And why are you carrying me?" "You are so light." "Yeah, and I'm about to kick your ass if you don't tell me what's going on." Mulder, still holding her back, dropped his right arm so her legs fell to the floor and her heels clamped against the ground. She edged his arm out from behind her waist and arched an eyebrow. "HELLO," she yelled. "Sit." "No." "Sit." "No!" "SIT!" "NO!" "All right then, let me ask you this. Do you remember that bee that gave you the virus?" "Of course I do. What does that have to do with this?" "Remember before the bee stung you?" Fear rised and her throat began to tighten up, and she had no idea why. At the time, she hadn't been scared, what the hell was wrong? Hadn't she wanted him to bring it up? To talk about it? "Yes." "Did you want me to kiss you?" "Mulder," she argued. "I mean it. Did you want it?" "Mulder, I'm tired-" "You're not tired," he broke in. She exhaled. "Well uh...did you?" "I asked you." "Where are we, Mulder?" "Answer the question." "I don't...I don't remember it all." "You remember every bit of it, Scully." "Maybe it..." she trailed off. "Did you want it???" she thought. She couldn't tell him the truth, it would ruin everything. There were a hundred reasons she should say no. I need to tell him no. "Yes." Mulder's face filled relief. His eyes glowed. She felt hot. She felt weird. What the hell was going on? Mulder she could think anything else, he smiled and took her hand. He pulled her along, and her fears seemed to disappear. "Mulder, where are we?" "I rented a little house for us." "For what," she asked. "Well, there is you know this UFO that's supposed to be here tomorrow, but in the mean time..." "What exactly are you suggesting?" He looked directly at her, and cupped her face. She placed her hands over his that were holding her face. She smiled. He looked at her like she was the most beautiful thing he'd ever seen. He looked at her like he couldn't love anything more. And he couldn't. "I want a chance to prove to you that I need you. Not because you're a doctor, not because you're my partner, and not because I know you're the only person I can trust in this whole damn world, but because...I love you. And I want to have you any way I can. Every way." Moisture gathered in her eyes, but a tear didn't fall. He slowly moved closer to her and their lips barely touch, but she shivers slightly. He pulls back. He's doing it to piss her off. "Yes dammit. I said yes five minutes ago, and the answers still YES!" She grabbed the back of his head and pulled him down to her for another kiss. It was still tender, and she felt Mulder smile against her lips. His lips then consumed hers more firmly. She returned the pressure. Her hands slid up, across his chest. He was wearing one of his tight T-shirts that showed off his great torso. Mulder's teeth gently scrap against her full, bottom lip and her fingers tighten on his shoulders, bringing her closer to him. Their lips played with each others, inflaming and soothing at the same time. She grips with her bottom teeth his lower lip and then soothes it with her tongue. "Scully..." he says. She doesn't remember him ever saying her name like that before. And it was something she would remember if she had. This was different. Most people at work call her that, but it's Mulder that has the habit to all the time, that she's closest to. She has never minded. Their mouths open and she titled her head to the side, letting their lips move further apart and his tongue to meet hers, and he explored her mouth. His hands tighten in her hair, and he pulls her towards him so she's standing on tiptoe, and she leans in closer to him. He hand brushes by her breast, and she moans a little urging him to continue. She pulls her lips back, and she begins to unbutton his shirt, pressing kisses against his chest as it's revealed to her. When she reaches the last button, she slides her tongue down the outline of of his belly. She then came back up and kissed him fully. Together, they rid her of her jacket, and she's left with that white blouse she's always wearing. She unbuttons each one confidently, not worrying about how she looks, then suddenly, her eyes almost pop out of her head. She remembers she did, and was incredibly grateful. She lets the blouse slid off of her arms, and her cream bra shows off her perfect, round, and full breasts. He tenderly cups each breast, and kisses the top, loving how soft they are. His kisses send shivers through her that turn into ripples that reach the area between her legs. His mouth and hands kneaded her breasts and her nipples popped out of the cups. He gently sucked on them, as her hands clenched his hair. She arches more into him, and he takes her more completely into his mouth, deepening the pressure. Scully pulls back and kisses his mouth. She then holds up her hands and turns them so they're facing her, and she glides the back of her hands along his naked torso, and he trembles. He grabs her hands and kisses them, throws her over his shoulder, and makes his way to the bedroom. He lies her down gently and climbs over her, their lips meeting again. His tongue insistingly stroking hers makes the ache in her increase. He slids down her underwear and together, they work to rid him of his. She feels him against her and there are no more words needed, only movements that will cause sensation. His hands pressed firmly on her hips, and he gently, but swiftly entered her. She inhaled in pleasure as he moaned a little. Her hands are against his chest. They rocked together, and he filled her perfectly. He looked down at her, and kissed her. His hands played with her breasts, caressing the already hard nipples, which tightened them all the more. He ran his finger so lightly over her nipple that it caused her to whimper. She pulled his face down to hers again, and kissed him. She moaned into his kiss with the final thrust, and then he rested on top of her. Their breaths became normal after a few minutes. "Hey Scully..." "Yeah?" Mulder waited, breathing a bit. "I love you." It took Scully a moment to process the words. It's not that she didn't already know they were true, or that she didn't return them, but she'd waited so long to hear them, it seemed unreal. She gladly embraced the words and let them soothe her heart. "I love you," she replied.
